左再骏（刘恺威 饰）和郑磊（孙艺洲 饰）是大学时代的好友，两人都喜欢校花小檬（古力娜扎 饰），谁知道小檬却在前往美国之后再无音信，还留下了女儿妙妙（乐乐 饰），就这样，左再骏和郑磊成为了妙妙的“父母”，一晃眼就是八年过去。 当小檬再次出现在左再骏面前之时，她竟然提出了要带走妙妙的请求，这自然遭到了左再骏的强烈反对，然而，小檬却用实际行动表明了她的负责和决心，最终，小檬带着妙妙回到了上海。在上海，小檬和郑磊走到了一起，得知这一消息，左再骏亦奔赴上海，向情敌发起了挑战。最终，郑磊发现了小檬内心里对于左再骏的感情，主动退出，成全了他最好的朋友和最爱的女人。
